Always leading the market in product design, research and development; our friends at Turbosmart have released their new Kompact range of Blow-off Valves (BOV) for the popular Korean Domestic Market (KDM) Hyundai i20 N and i30 N.
Turbosmart expands the Kompact diverter and blow-off valves to include a bolt-on upgrade for the Hyundai i20 N and i30 N. This bolt-on performance upgrade will replace the factory plastic bypass valve with a billet aluminium valve using Turbosmart’s motorsport-proven piston technology to provide greater reliability, throttle response and boost holding capacity over the life of the car!
Being a retailer and a workshop, we get the opportunity to not only sell these babies but we can show you how easy it is to install one yourself at home in the garage. There’s really nothing to the i30N BOV in terms of fitment.
The factory recirculating valve is located on the intercooler piping just below the airbox. Disconnecting and removing the airbox gives us ample room to unbolt the factory item and install our new Turbosmart Kompact Dual Port BOV. As you can see in the pictures below, there’s ample room for the installation and the BOV definitely lives up to it’s “Kompact” name.
